Repair targets 'not being met'

Repair targets 'not being met'In many cases, BT Openreach is failing to hit targets in terms of repairs to unbundled broadband lines, the Office of the Telecommunications Ajudicator has stated.

A spokesperson said that the repairs that are successful are still below agreed targets and that future plans may be able to fix the current problem, reports PC Pro.

Executive chairman at the watchdog Peter Black stated that the failure rate for repair is currently at about 15-25 per cent.

"There's plans afoot to fix things. BT's shown us those plans and though I would have liked something to have happened by now, we're hoping to see progress [targets met] by the middle of next year," he told the publication.

More focus will be needed in the future to reach target levels as the current service is at a steady point.
