Broadband speeds for Virgin customers in Folkestone, Ashford and Dover have been boosted by the internet service provider in an attempt to attract more customers.

The firm is embattled having lost large numbers of customers to rivals including Sky and BT, but the pilot scheme offering broadband speeds of up to 50 megabits per second may win back their supporters.
