Three broadband providers compared

Three broadband providers comparedA recent review has compared the services provided by three of the UK's biggest telecoms companies.

BT Vision, Sky and Virgin Media are all aiming to attract new customers to their broadband TV services and convince them of the benefits of being able to record programs to a hard drive and pause live television, Absolute Gadget explains.

While each provider offers solutions that might tempt TV lovers around the country, the reviewers have suggested that BT's Vision entertainment package could offer good value for those people who already receive the company's broadband internet service.

In fact, combining a media subscription with that a phone contract, which could enable users to make cheap calls, is a good way to secure a relatively inexpensive communications deal, according to the analysts at Absolute Gadget.

Of the three suppliers reviewed recently, only Virgin Media is in the running to pick up a Best Consumer Broadband prize at the upcoming Internet Service Provider Awards in the UK.

Vonage is allowing customers to make cheap calls throughout the UK and abroad using existing broadband connections. The V - Plan 1 package is available for just £5.99 a month.
