It is a "well established and commonly accepted" fact that workers operating from home are more productive than their office-based counterparts, it is claimed.
According to a spokesperson for the National Group on Homeworking (NGH), using such employees can also give a business the advantage of accessing a larger range of skills.
This is because many workers, including those with children, require a greater degree of flexibility if they are to fully interact with a business, said Nesta Holden.
