For one American commentator,
VoIP has allowed him to run his home-based business out of hours without interrupting his much-needed rest.
Commenting on web-based resource PC World, Eric Larkin explains that he was often interrupted in the early hours by business calls coming from clients in different time zones.
However, by using
business VoIP services, Mr Larkin has been able to take control of the way calls are handled during certain times of the day, with out-of-hours calls automatically fielded to an auto-attendant to make sure important calls aren't missed.
Furthermore,
VoIP provides Mr Larkin with increased functionality during his usual working day.
"During business hours, [the
VoIP service] rings my home and cell phones at the same time and transfers the call to whichever handset I pick up," he comments.
Other benefits of
VoIP products have recently been promoted by Dial-a-Phone which notes the improved call centre functionality, call log access and conference calling afforded by
VoIP services.
Vonage has
business VoIP services designed for the smaller business. The
V-Plan 4 is available for £12.76 per month and includes unlimited calls to 25 countries worldwide.
