Broadband users 'demanding more'

Broadband users 'demanding more'UK broadband users are now requiring more from the internet than suppliers would have ever originally envisaged, it has been suggested.

According to a spokesperson from comparison site Broadband Choices, consumer demand for high-speed internet is at times outstripping the industry's ability to provide adequate levels of service.

"Ten years ago people were only just getting used to using email and now we're trying to send large files with our email," said Michael Phillips, product director at Broadband Choices.

Mr Phillips added that as advertisers send out messages to consumers about fast connection speeds, the desire for ultra-quick services is fuelled further.

A recent report by Virgin Media has found a "breakneck" culture has come to exist in Britain, where consumers have come to expect everything to be done faster, with many Britons found to undertake everyday activities at a far faster pace nowadays.

Vonage is providing broadband customers with a secure way to make cheap calls quickly using internet phone services. The V-Plan 1 is available for just £5.99 per month.ADNFCR-1208-ID-18546770-ADNFCR
