Saving money on broadbandAfter having problems with BT, one customer has discovered he will be £240 better off by switching to alternative provider Talk Talk, it has been reported.

Baris Balic decided to switch after being charged £150 to connect to broadband services even though he was assured that he wouldn't have to pay an installation fee, the Sunday Mirror reports.

"It took a couple of weeks to sort out the problem and BT eventually refunded the money. But I did have to make a lot of calls to customer services," he said.

Now that he has moved house, he has decided to also change supplier, with uSwitch noting that a saving of £240 per year can be made by choosing a comparable service from Talk Talk.

A recent report by the price comparison service has found that levels of satisfaction with telecoms suppliers is at a five year low.
