Businesses looking to adopt a
VoIP telephony solution should look to the extra features on offer, it has been claimed.
Industry news source ZDNet reports that such extras can range from relatively complex applications to simple characteristics of a particular provider or package.
However, the most desirable elements of any package should be those which provide users with the most functionality, the resource suggests.
"The costs of adoption have come down in the recent past," according to ZDNet.
"Despite the costs coming down, the enterprises must opt for the provider that offers varied value-added services and features."
The article observes that different categories of enterprise could find they have different amounts to spend on a
business VoIP solution.
ZDNet previously suggested that the elements desired by customers may include caller ID and call forwarding.
While most telephone companies charge extra for premium features such as call waiting and caller display, with Vonage these features come as standard.
