
A high number of Brits would emigrate abroad if it meant that they did not have to repay their mortgages, according to new findings from the currency specialist HiFX.
In total, 37 per cent of those polled stated that they would go abroad in order to flee from the economic situation in Britain.
Additionally, 40 per cent said that they consider going overseas if it meant they could purchase a property in one go.
Director at HiFX Mark Bodega stated that the lure of a better financial situation is just too great.
"While moving overseas has long been a tradition for those seeking sunnier climes, a different career path or a peaceful retirement, it would now seems that more and more people are no longer considering emigration as a luxury but a necessity," he commented.
