
Severn Digital is launching a new ADSL broadband service on March 1st, it has emerged.
The IT services firm based in Chepstow, Wales, has named the product reddragon broadband and will be awarding a free annual subscription for every 50th customer who signs up for the connection on its launch day.
Download speeds of up to 8 Mbps and a monthly, rather than annual contract are among the services provided to customers through Severn Digital's new product, which could help many people enjoy
cheap calls using
VoIP technology.
Launching the product in south-east Wales, Severn Digital will initially roll out reddragon broadband for Wales and Welsh-speaking customers, said Alex Stanley, managing director at the company.
"We've worked hard to create a high quality and reliable broadband service and we hope that local residents will share our enthusiasm and buy a local product," he added.
Reddragon broadband will be launched at GMT 09:00 on St David's Day.
