Making switching easier

Making switching easierFor those looking to switch broadband provider to take advantage of a better deal or because of poor service, advice has been offered to aid the process.

According to the Motley Fool, the first port of call should be an examination of existing broadband terms and conditions to establish whether the contract period has ended.

If it hasn't, customers are advised that they may still be able to get out of the deal if a supplier has fallen foul of the conditions of service.

Further advice includes contacting existing providers to renegotiate a package, as significant savings can be made if people are on an old deal.

If switching provider is the preferred option, consumers should make sure that they check all prices associated with the move, including connection costs and line rental.

Users are also advised to remember that customer support is an important part of a broadband service and this should be factored in when choosing a provider.

A recent report from the National Audit Office has found that a minority of consumers are still finding switching broadband difficult.
