Briton's land inaccurate bills

Briton's land inaccurate billsWith household budgets coming under greater strain than ever before, many consumers are being hit by inaccurate bills as well, it has been suggested.

According to moneysupermarket.com, over eight million people have been overcharged for utilities and telecoms during the past three months.

Rob Barnes, head of broadband and mobiles at moneysupermarket.com, said: "The staggering amount of people who've been hit with an incorrect bill only goes to show how inadequate some providers can be."

He added that with consumers already facing undue strain on their finances, the last thing they will need is a charge for services they haven't received.

The firm's research indicates that while direct debit is seen as the most convenient way to pay, it is also the most likely payment method to land people with an inaccurate bill.

According to other research recently released by moneysupermarket.com, 95 per cent of Briton's feel ripped off by the recent price hikes imposed by energy suppliers.

Vonage is committed to providing a cost-effective broadband phone service, with online account management available to let people take control of their telecoms spending.ADNFCR-1208-ID-18560483-ADNFCR
