VoIP boasts 'unexpected benefits'
Voice over internet protocol (
VoIP) communication solutions can offer businesses benefits that are rarely highlighted but can prove to be significant, according to one expert.
These unexpected benefits can include a reduction of company training times and a more efficient use of the employees' time, which VoIP's added features can deliver, Colin Taylor of contact centre consultant the Taylor Reach Group has suggested.
Speaking to
VoIP News recently, Mr Taylor also claimed that by installing a
VoIP system organisations of various kinds can help to cut the potential cots associated with any subsequent IT upgrade.
"The real gains that I've seen companies realise in IP telephony include improved integration, efficiency, effectiveness and functionality," said Mr Taylor.
Meanwhile, Marcus Gallo from the Unified Communications company has suggested that businesses ought to consider migration to an IP-based system as an opportunity to align their IT development with their overall commercial strategy.
Vonage offers commercial
VoIP solutions particularly catered for small offices and homeworkers. The
