Mobile phone provider dial-a-phone has offered a beginner's guide to getting the most out of
internet phone services.
A company commentator has stated that with many people turning to
VoIP services, it is important that the benefits are understood.
Her advice follows a recent study by Infocom that the number of people using
VoIP services in the EU will reach 88 million by the 2012.
She asserts: "A thorough understanding of what
VoIP is and what options are available when selecting a
VoIP provider can make the process of transitioning over to
VoIP an easier one to complete."
Among the bonuses of switching to
VoIP services are low-cost calling both at home and abroad and the convenience of having just one number for landlines, mobiles and office phones, she states.
She explains that
VoIP services - such as that offered by Vonage - work by connecting an existing landline to a broadband connection, allowing people to use the phone in the usual way.
Vonage offers a range of flat tariff services that make converting to
VoIP easier. The
V-Plan 2 offers free inclusive calls to 15 countries for just £7.99 a month.
